📝About the Event

The Whiz House is an exciting improvisational performance challenge that brings together creativity, humour, and quick thinking. It is a world created by the mysterious Whiz Master, where unique characters enter and face unexpected situations and challenges.

Participants step into the Whiz House as a pair of unique characters and must use their imagination, teamwork, and presence of mind to handle every twist that comes their way. The challenge is not just about acting; it is about staying true to the character, creating chemistry with a partner, and quick thinking on the spot.

With unusual character combinations and unpredictable situations, contestants must solve problems, create entertaining moments, and prove their ability to adapt.

The journey through the Whiz House consists of three rounds, each testing creativity, spontaneity, teamwork, and confidence. The winning team will be the one that turns every challenge into an unforgettable performance and proves that imagination has no limits.

⚖️Rules of the Event

  • 1. Team Composition:
    • Each team must consist of two participants.
    • Both participants must actively participate and contribute equally to the performance.
    • Each team will portray the assigned pair of contrasting characters.
  • 2. Character Portrayal:
    • Participants must remain true to their assigned characters throughout the performance.
    • The humour should come from the contrast between the characters, not from personal remarks or inappropriate content.
  • 3. Improvisation & Performance:
    • Participants must be prepared to handle unexpected situations and challenges given during the rounds.
    • Creativity, spontaneity, and presence of mind will be the key elements of evaluation.
    • Participants are encouraged to think beyond scripted responses.
  • 4. Time Limit:
    • Teams must strictly follow the time limit provided for each round.
    • Exceeding the time limit may result in deduction of marks.
  • 5. Use of Props & Costumes:
    • Simple props and costumes may be used to enhance the performance.
    • Participants must ensure that props are safe, manageable, and do not delay the flow of the event.
  • 6. Language & Content:>br> • Performances must maintain appropriate language and content suitable for a school audience.
    • Personal attacks, offensive humour, or disrespectful portrayal of any individual/community will not be permitted.
    • The medium of communication throughout the event must be English only.
  • 7. Whiz Master’s Challenges:
    • Instructions and challenges announced by the Whiz Master during the rounds must be accepted and incorporated into the performance.
    • Teams must respond spontaneously while staying in character.
  • 8. Team Coordination:
    • Both members must demonstrate teamwork, chemistry, and equal involvement.
    • The success of the performance depends on how effectively the characters interact with each other.
  • 9. Judges’ Decision:
    • The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
    • Teams will be evaluated based on creativity, character consistency, improvisation, teamwork, and overall entertainment value.
  • 10. Spirit of the Event:
    • The Whiz House celebrates imagination, humour, and creative thinking.
    • Participants are expected to enjoy the experience, respect fellow contestants, and embrace the challenges presented by the Whiz Master.

⚖️Each Round Details

  • Round 1: Audition Round – Enter The Whiz House (Video Submission Round)

    This is the qualifying round where participants introduce their characters and showcase their creativity. Task:

    • Each team must submit a video based on the given prompt.
    • Character Situations:
    Character pair

    • Video Submission on: 18 July 2026
    • Email ID: npskwhizhouse@gmail.com
    • The video must showcase the interaction between the two assigned characters.
    • The participants must include a Friendly Fire Roast, where they humorously highlight their partner’s funny or annoying traits while staying within the boundaries of their characters.

    Time Limit:
    • The video duration must not exceed 90 seconds.
    Based on this round, selected teams will enter The Whiz House and proceed to the next challenge.

  • Round 2: The Whiz House Challenge (The Whiz Master’s Task – Stage Round)

    The selected teams officially enter The Whiz House and face an unpredictable challenge designed by the Whiz Master. This round, challenges the participants to adapt to an unexpected situation, apply their characters creatively, and execute their ideas within the given time frame.
    • The preparation time will begin immediately after the task is assigned. Teams must complete their preparation within the given time and proceed for their presentation when called.

    Each team will be given a total of 23 minutes for this round:
     20 minutes – Preparation Time
     3 minutes – Stage Presentation
    Preparation Time:
    • The participants can use:
     Notes prepared on a chart/A4 size paper
     A brief presentation
     Enactment or performance
     Any other creative method suitable for the given task
    • At the end of the 20-minutes preparation period, teams must proceed with their presentation.
    • Further, participants must present whatever they have developed within the given time.
    • Once the team enters the stage, no further discussion or planning between the partners will be allowed.

    Performance Expectations:
    Participants must demonstrate:

     Character interaction
     Coordination between partners

  • Final Round: The CrashOut Chamber (Judges’ Crossfire)

    The finalists will face the ultimate test of their character and creativity.
    In this round, the judges will test the participants through a series of questions and challenges based on their characters, their performance in the previous round, their decisions during the task, and any other situations that require them to think creatively and respond while staying in character.
