📝About the Event

Yogasattva is a wellness-focused event where Grade 4 and 5 students showcase yoga asanas, breathing exercises, and mindful movements. The event promotes fitness, flexibility, concentration, and inner balance while encouraging healthy habits and self-discipline.

⚖️Rules of the Event

  • Participants must prepare and present two yoga asanas of their own choice.
  • The school will share a list of five prescribed compulsory asanas in advance for students to practice.
  • During the event, participants will pick three chits, each containing the name of one of the prescribed asanas, and perform the selected asanas.
  • The holding time for each compulsory asana should be a minimum of 30 secs, own choice asanas 20 secs.
  • Students are expected to follow all instructions and maintain discipline throughout the event.
  • The decision of the judges on all types of technical aspects will be final and binding.
  • Judges’ decision will be final.

⚖️Attire

  • Boys: Swimming tight shorts (blue or black)
  • Girls: Swimming costume (sleeveless and neck covered).
  • Girls’ hair should be neatly tied and no accessories and jewellery allowed
  • Barefoot participation is mandatory

🏆Judgement Criteria

  • Flexibility – Ability to perform the asanas with ease and appropriate range of movement.
  • Strength – Demonstration of control and muscular endurance while holding the postures.
  • Stability – Balance and steadiness maintained throughout the performance.
  • Posture – Correct alignment and accuracy in executing the asanas.n
