CATEGORY – 1(Grade 7 & 8)
SOLOLOQUY
Description of the Event:
Individual participants are to be judged for their singing ability/talent.
Event Specification:
- Event Date and Time: Friday,1st August 2025
- Eligibility: Grade: 7 – 8
- Type of Event: Solo Singing Competition. (Light Music – (Bhaavageethe, Bhakthi Geethe(Devotional) OR any Semi-Classical Song
- Number of entries from School: 2 per school
- Time Limit: 3 mins (Including setup)
Rules of the Event:
- Movie based Songs shall not be entertained.
- Time allotted for each performance is 3 Minutes, including the setting up tanpura/guitar/keyboard.
- Participants are requested to strictly adhere to the allotted time and exceeding the time limit my led to disqualifications.
- Participants are requested to bring along their own instruments.
- Use of Minus/Karaoke/Backing Tracks is strictly prohibited.
- Choice of songs is open to the participants but the song should not have any slangs or derogatory language.
- The decision of the Judges is final and disputes on that will not be entertained for whatever reasons.

- Sur (Scale) & Taal (Beat / Rhythm Consistency)
- Lyrical Clarity
- Stage Presence
CATEGORY – 2(Grade 9 & 10)
TIRANGA
Description of the Event:
Participants are to be judged for their ability/talent to sing in/as a group along with a band of accompanying musicians.
Event Specification:
- Event Date and Time: Friday,1st August 2025
- Eligibility: Grade: 9 – 10
- Type of Event: Team Event – Singing Competition-Group (PATRIOTIC SONGS)
- Number of Participants: 7 students per team (4 Vocalists & 3 Accompanying Musicians)
- Number of entries from School: 1 per school
- Time Limit: 5 mins (Including setup)
Rules of the Event:
- The Group can have a Maximum of 4 Vocalists & 3 Accompanying Musicians only.
- Movie based Songs shall not be entertained.
- Time allotted for each performance is 5 Minutes, including the setting up of the instruments.
- Participants are allowed to refer to the Lyrics during the performance.
- Participants are requested to bring along their own instruments and an advance information about the instruments the group brings along should be shared with the hosts of the competition.
- Use of Minus/Karaoke/Backing Tracks is strictly prohibited.
- The decision of the Judges is final and disputes on that will not be entertained for whatever reasons.
