Category 1 (Grade 7-8)

Lokokti (लोकोक्ति) – “लोकोक्ति के बोल, जीवन के लिए अनमोल”

Description:

An expressive activity where students interpret Hindi proverbs (Lokokti) and relate them to real- life situations. It enhances language skills, cultural understanding, and meaningful communication.

Event Specifications:

  • Event Day & Date: Saturday, 2nd August 2025
  • Eligibility: Classes 7 and 8 
  • Type of Event: Team Event
  • Number of Participants: 2 students per team
  • Number of Entries from School: 1 team per school
  • Time Limit: Round 1 – 5 Min and Round 2 – 2 Min

Description of Round 1 & Round 2:

  1. Round 1 – Arrange the Lokokti:
    • Students will be given jumbled words of a Hindi proverb (Lokokti).
    • They must rearrange the words in correct order to form the proper proverb.
    • Time limit: 5 minutes
    • Only students who give the correct answer will qualify for Round 2.
  2. Round 2 – Explanation/Narration:
    • Out of 2 participants 1 participant is required to come well prepared for any likokti of their choice. (2 minutes)
    • The explanation can be in the form of:
      • A short story,
      • A real-life example,
      • Or a simple meaning and usage of the proverb.

Rules of the Event:

  • Time Limit:
    • Round 1 – 5 minutes
    • Round 2 – 2 minutes
  • Explanation in Round 2 – students can use any story, example, or interpretation.
  • Inappropriate content or language will not be allowed.
  • Only one chance will be given to each participant/team to perform.
  • The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

Category 2 (Grade 9-10)

Street Play (नुक्कड़ नाटक) – “नई सोच, नई दिशा”

Description:

A lively street play where students use drama, dialogues, and slogans to highlight social issues and spread awareness.

Topics:

  1. युवाओं में बढ़ती बेरोजगारी
  2. भारतीय संस्कृति और आधुनिकता
  3. मन के हारे हार है, मन के जीते जीत

Event Specifications:

  • Event Day & Date: Saturday, 2nd August 2025
  • Eligibility: Classes 9 and 10 
  • Type of Event: Team Event
  • Number of Participants: 7 to 8 students per team
  • Number of Entries from School: 1 team per school
  • Time Limit: 5 to 6 Min

Rules of the Event:

  1. Team Composition:
    • Each team should consist of 7 to 8 participants including actors and musicians.
  2. Time Limit:
    • Performance time: 5 to 6 minutes.
  3. Exceeding or falling short of the time limit will lead to deduction of marks.
  4. Theme:
    • The theme should be social, cultural, educational, or environmental. Vulgarity or offensive content is strictly prohibited.
  5. Language:
    • The performance should be in Hindi only.
  6. Props and Music:
    • Only handheld props and live music instruments are allowed.
    • No background tracks, microphones, or electronic amplification permitted.
  7. Performance Area:
    • The play should be designed for an open area without stage setup.
    • Performers must engage the audience directly.
  8. Discipline:
    • Teams must maintain decorum and discipline.
    • Any disrespect towards judges, organizers, or audience will lead to disqualification.
  9. Reporting Time:
    • All teams must report 60 minutes before their scheduled time.
  10. Final Decision:
    • The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
