Category 1: (Sub-Junior: Grade 5 and 6)

Event Specifications:
- Event Day and Date: Friday, 1st August 2025
- Eligibility: Classes 5 & 6
- Type of Event: Team Event
- Number of Participants: 2 students per team
- Number of entries from school: 1 team per school
- Time Limit: 2 Hours
Description of the Event:

To reinforce mathematical concepts through a fun, interactive -style that encourages strategic thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork. This rule encourages students to think critically and spend their tokens wisely—just like managing money—by making thoughtful decisions on the correct answers.
Rules of the Event:
- Star Tokens: Every team will receive a set of star tokens to use during the activity.
- Rounds & Questions: The game will consist of 5 rounds, with 2 multiple-choice questions in each round based on mathematical concepts.
- Token Investment: For each question, teams will place their tokens on the answer they believe is correct. Only one answer is correct.
- Scoring: Among the teams that choose the correct answer, the one that invests the highest number of tokens for the correct answer will earn maximum points for that question.
Judgement Criteria:
- Winning Criteria: The team with the highest total score at the end of all rounds will be declared the winner. So, spend your tokens wisely by choosing the correct answers!
- Final Authority: The judges’ decision is final and binding on all participants.

Category 2: (Junior: Grade 7 and 8)
MATHALOGUE: Lights, Logic, Action!

- Number of Participants: 3 to 5 students per team
- Number of entries from school: 1 team per school
- Time Limit: 5 + 1 min
Description of the Event:
“Unveil the magic of numbers with a twist of drama! The Math Skit Competition invites young minds to present mathematical concepts in an innovative and entertaining way through skits. It’s not just about formulas — it’s about bringing math to life with creativity, humor, and storytelling. It aims to foster both conceptual understanding and creative expression, making the world of numbers come alive on stage.”
Math Skit Topics:
- “The Courtroom of Numbers”:
All the numbers are in a courtroom. Zero is accused of being “useless.” But in the end, Zero proves how powerful he is — in place value, multiplication, coding, and more.
Concepts Covered: Place value, operations with zero, historical importance
- “The Misunderstood X: A Story of Algebra”
A lonely “x” searches for meaning in life — until it meets equations, identities, and word problems that show “x” is the most important variable in math!
Concepts Covered: Algebra, variables, solving equations
- “Shape Wars: 2D vs 3D”
2D shapes argue with 3D shapes about who’s more useful. Each shape introduces itself and what it contributes to the world. In the end, they all realize that geometry is strongest when united.
Concepts Covered: Geometry, shapes, faces/edges/vertices, real-life application
- “The Day Numbers Went Missing”
One morning, the world wakes up to find all numbers have vanished. Chaos breaks out — no clocks, no money, no phone numbers! A child’s dream becomes a powerful Lesson on how math holds life together.
Concepts Covered: Role of math in daily life, number systems
- “Why Are Students Scared of Me?”
The character “Mathematics” wonders why students fear it. As it talks to students, teachers, and even exams, it realizes it needs to be taught with fun, visuals, and games — not fear!
Concepts Covered: Overcoming math anxiety, teaching methods
Rules of the Event:
- Time Limit:
- Each skit must be 5+1 minutes long.
- Exceeding the time limit will lead to deduction in points.
- Theme/Content:
- Skit must revolve around the topic mentioned.
- Content must be age-appropriate, original, and educational.
- Language:
- Skit must be performed in English (punch lines are allowed in Kannada/Hindi)
- Props and Costumes:
- Simple props and costumes are allowed.
- Teams must manage their own materials and are responsible for cleanup.
- Use of inappropriate language or behavior will not be entertained.
- Decision of Judges:
- The decision of the panel will be final and binding.
- Teams are allowed to use music if required. They must bring the music in a pendrive and submit on day of event at the registration desk.

- Creativity and originality
- Mathematical content
- Costume / Property
- Presentation and expressions
General Rules:
- Other necessary stationaries/materials to be brought by the participants.
- Decision of the judges shall be binding and final.
